Gold-i is one of three companies across Surrey to have been selected as a finalist the International Business of the Year category at the Surrey Business Awards.
Gold-i currently has over 180 clients across 33 countries and has experienced significant overseas growth over the last year, attracting new clients across the globe and growing business with existing clients. The company has already recouped its investment in setting up an office in Shanghai in 2016 and experienced more growth from Chinese clients over the last year than from any other territory.
Tom Higgins, CEO, Gold-i commented, “Exporting is key to our business strategy and we are fully committed to continuing to provide world-class products and exceptional service levels in order to help brokers across the globe to operate more efficiently, manage their risk more effectively and become more profitable. We take time to understand broker needs in different territories and invest profits back in the business to support our global expansion plans.
“Being shortlisted for International Business of the Year is not only a fantastic independent endorsement of the work of the whole team but is also an excellent point of difference as we continue our international expansion. It recognises our technology capabilities, global growth ambitions and the importance of our company values - all key components in enabling us to attract the best employees, partners and clients in the FinTech space.”
Fiona Graves, Organiser of Surrey Business Awards added, “Surrey Business Awards are organised in association with Surrey Chamber of Commerce to celebrate excellence amongst the business community, regardless of size or industry. Gold-i impressed the judges with the scale of its overseas trade, its achievements to date as a market leader in its industry and its future growth plans. We had a significant number of strong entries for this category and Gold-i should be proud of its achievement in being selected as a finalist.”
The winners of the award will be announced on 4 October 2018.
